Connecting with yourself being surrounded by nature, hiking part of the Nakasendo Trail : . . An ancient route in Japan that historically connected Kyoto and Edo (present-day Tokyo), and one of the five major routes established during the Edo period (1603-1868). . . Route (if you are waiting for your sign is this one): . 🚅Take the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Nagoya 🚃From Nagoya Station a rapid train (no reservation needed) to Nakatsugawa Station i🏔️You can stay overnight in Nagastusgawa and visit the George Waterfalls (you can walk towards them, I did 1-2 hours each way). 🎋The next morning: take a train to Nagiso Station and walk there to Magome first (45 minutes). 🍚In Magome have lunch at: Otokichi - 御食事処 音吉 (shown in the video) 🌄Afterwards walk to Tsumago (3 hours if you stop like me to see everything and take photos) 🚌In Tsumago you can take a bus back to Nagastsugawa Station (25 minutes by bus) . 🏯And from Nagatsugawa you can make your way back to Kyoto or make pit stop in Nagoya to see the Castle and stay overnight! . Japan is so much more than the main cities, and having the chance to do part of this historic trail while learning a traditional art at @POJ Studio: Kintsugi just enhances your stay in Japan❤️‍🩹 Thanks to @andrea_oficios_varios for motivating me to do this train and Hayo! Another way of connecting with the history of Japan: I meet so many amazing people that helped me out, everyone is welcoming to help you and guide you☁️ and is a beautiful way to connect with yourself #japan #nakasendotrail #kyoto #magome #tsumago #kyoto
