I work in healthcare, what is the best to was my uniforms with on a daily basis due to all of the exposure to microorganisms? I am generally using hot water, vinegar, laundry sanitizer, and dirty labs detergent (I really prefer something with cleaner ingredients). Also this combination seems to be the only combo that allows my clothes to occasionally smell clean all around. I don’t use too much and do extra rinses and deep wash. I also try to be careful to not overload my washer and use washing machine cleaner. I just want clean smelling laundry and sanitized uniforms.

She also needs to do an empty bleach wash after washing the clothes. Cdiff spores are resistant to majority of cleaning agents except bleach.

If we suspect a resident could have cdiff we use only the designated machine for body fluids on all that residents laundry and do the following steps. There are enzyme detergents you can get online or through a local janitorial supply. 1. enzyme wash 2. followed by a disinfectant wash 3. then run two empty cycles with bleach to clean the machine after washing that residents clothing or bedding. Also all clothing is worn once and all bathing supplies like towels snd wash clothes get used once and then washed.

can u help me get the BO smell outta my teenagers shirts? ive done oxy clean, tide odor removal, laundry sanitizer, soaking in vinegar and baking soda and a product called "funk out" its like NOTHING can get that smell out

For a long time the cloth diapering community has recommended starting with the shortest wash cycle on cold, with half the amount of detergent normally used. Makes for a fancy rinse that gets a lot of the urine out.

Hear me out Xlarge puppy pads, when my dad was in hospice at home disposable bed pads ran out so I tried a large puppy pad worked the same, cheaper & easier to find!

I’m sure you’ve discussed this but same for period stuff? I soak and wash on cold with enzyme. Stains hydrogen peroxide.

Hospice should provide “chucks” (disposable waterproof bed pads) for free. I also highly recommend a waterproof, zippered mattress encasement with one or even two waterproof mattress pad OVER the encasement. Easier to change out without stripping the entire bed down to bare mattress.

plus a waterproof -zip up- mattress cover, a -sheet- waterproof mattress cover AND disposable sheets if they're dealing with this for a long time

Also idk if this is a picture of their washer - but it’s way too full. I would only do half of that and I always add extra water and extra rinse.

I deal with this with my dad and I use the Medline disposable pads on top of washable pads and people are surprised that you can’t smell urine in the house. I know the disposable pads are expensive but they work. I also use a washer cleaner.
