Sa-ngoma… I-ngoma means song. What do we do when we hear a song? We dance. When isangoma or someone who is called to practice hears the drum they are overcome by umoya and start dancing to the beat of the drum.

Notice most African drums have a hole at the bottom...they are hallow...so when you put it on the bare ground and beat on it you create a strance connecting you with the ancestors! In Lesotho 🇱🇸 we call a drum "Moropa"...or "Sekupu"...
