The same does not go for a baby or toddler. A fetus is so dependent upon the person carrying it for oxygen and nutrients, and for excretion — on a moment by moment basis — that the placenta has to be present as an interface. Are babies and toddlers so dependent on a person they’re physically attached to that they need an interface organ like a placenta?

This argument is so pro choice they dont see it. If they think anyone caring for a toddler is the same as pregnancy, then let pregnant people remove the embryo and it can be cared for by other people. If then they are honest and say that removal cant happen because the embryo is fully and completely dependant on one singular person- well that's exactly why consent to pregnancy matters.

Even a new born baby has body autonomy because its body is its own and is sustaining itself via its own body organs. A fetus does not have body autonomy because it is inside of and attached to someone else. Babies are autonomous, they are not independent but care can be transferred
