@artbynoelli: I'm kinda in disbelief? took the new skills for a test run and...? this painting took me 30 minutes? what the heck actually #oilpainting #beginnerartist #selftaughtartist #art #howtopaint

As a new beginner I’m using an app called Color Study that is like 10/10 helping with color mixing and it has a bunch of other features too.

im an oil painter and these tips are very helpful for me to learn thank you!! I’m trying to stray away from using black in my colour mixing to keep it vibrant - I found using gamblin’s indigo really gives the same depth without making it overly dull

becca ❤️‍🩹 :

im an oil pasteller and honestly making the "white" tank top was so fun bcs it had so many colours in it!! i also do this and try and avoid as much grey as possible, oftern using lilacs, blues, pinks etc

What program do you use???

n_retrospect :

Any books you’ve read that helped you get started painting?

I love the way you edit your videos so fun

Penfold_paints :

Hello!! I self taught too, learning colour theory was my biggest change. Once understanding it I just found everything I painted I loved!

urf41rygf :

I’ve been using something clear like a glass bowl to make a pallets ON the thing I’m trying to colour match. This has helped me understand colour so much!!

iris :

I can definitely see the improvement compared with your videos from even a month ago!! Good job💪
