@cookinglikemile: One of the hardest-working plants in my garden 🌿💙 Borage feeds the bees, feeds the soil, and today, it made my afternoon tea. Before harvesting the flowers, I removed a few older leaves and tucked them beside my sage using a simple chop-and-drop technique. Nothing goes to waste in this garden. The younger leaves are edible, the star-shaped flowers attract pollinators, and a handful of blooms steep into a beautiful tea with a light cucumber-like flavor. Sometimes the most useful things are growing right outside our door. Have you ever grown borage? #herbalism #borage
Great as sun tea too! Rough chop or tare leaves make sure crumble in hand as well helps release flavor. Toss in a fruit blend or just green tea bags oh so refreshing. Steep minimum 6 hours on a hot sunny day. FYI borage can take over if not pruned. Prune off shoots.

You’re teaching me that every thing is my garden is beneficial. So it doesn’t have to be dried?
