@pureloveharmony: The safety loop is not the problem. The problem is when we think the safety loop is the safety plan. A loop can prevent a dog from jumping, falling, or pulling away suddenly. But it cannot regulate the dog’s nervous system. It cannot read stress signals. It cannot prevent panic, shutdown, learned helplessness, or fear conditioning. That responsibility belongs to the dog-groomer. Every professional dog-groomer should understand what happens inside the dog’s body when fear, restraint, sound, touch, pressure, and unfamiliar handling collide in the grooming environment.
