@am_i_sean: Replying to @El leviatan this isn’t financial advice or a recommendation but a potential allocation could look something like this: 50%- VTI 20%- VXUS 20%- VGT 5% - SGOV 5%- Individual stock picks #stockmarket #moneytok #investingforbeginners
I wish I had $100k lol but I think you’re the only guy I’d take investing advice from since you don’t sell anything

I have been testing almost EXACTLY the portfolio he is describing AGAINST my Schwab Intelligent Portfolio. They Both are in my taxable accounts. Since Schwab requires $50k to offer “tax loss harvesting” (a good feature for rocky markets). The other $50k is ETFs like he describes. I did it a month ago, so watch them both through a market drop and recovery. My learning so far is the diversity of the Schwab Intelligent Portfolio (14 ETF funds) made portfolio drop less during “fall” these past weeks. And in these recent days of “recovery” the portfolio he describes has outperformed (slightly). I would add that taxable accounts should be buy and hold at least a year if you don’t want income tax impact. Retirement accounts you can buy and sell without tax hits in same year.
