In Germany, people stick aluminum foil on the windows that do not have an air conditioning system and no roller blinds so that the heat stays outside, especially those who live in the attic

Dont do this, the foil will bake on the glass en it will leave stains that will be hard to get off. I tried this. Never again!

Dont do this!!!! After a long period of time the water dries and the foil sticks to the window and when you peel it off it leaves marks that don’t go away!!!!! We needed new windows entirely

Living in Alaska for over 30 years alot of people would do this during the summer when dealing with over 20 hours of daylight and making it dark in the kiddos bedrooms so they would go to sleep.
