A debt collector had no legal obligation to purchase any available debt, but since they did it now no longer affects you since your debt was paid, now you have no legal obligation to pay the debt collector as it was their choice to pay off your debt. Tell them you have no idea who they’re calling for

I have a debt collector trying to get me to sign a contract and saying I have to pay a certain amount minimum every month. they also want me to sign a contract that waives my rights with the consumer protections act. the debt is over 5 or years old.
