I use to have a bathroom that had a big ball lightbulb that gave off an ungodly amount of heat that I would just sit under during the winter. I felt like a little lizard 🦎

My dad was always a bigger guy. Sometimes my mom would fold laundry and leave it on the coffee table to put away the next morning. Sometimes I’d take one of my dad’s big shirts and curl up in it over the heat vent and the warm air would just circulate around me in his big shirt… rest in peace dad, I miss you always.🩷

I remember one winter we couldn't afford propane to heat the house. We had 3 space heaters in our farmhouse living room going with blankets nailed over the doorways to keep the heat consolidated. We all slept in there. It was the best winter ever. All of us stuck in the same room, keeping warm. Enjoying each our own hobbies but still connected with jokes and conversation. It really grounded me and I realized having a strong family can make any situation not feel so bad.
