@auntychannn: being a psych nurse has truly changed the way I engage with others. I hope this helps someone too, can’t wait to hear your thoughts & most importantly, may we all seek to grow and practice compassion with one another🥹💗 #mentalillness #MentalHealthAwareness #compassion #psychnurse #simplepsych

Amen. I have adhd and get really irritated when overstimulated and can be a jerk. I know that about myself so I took steps to identify strategies to remove that behavior or redirect it. It’s hard but not impossible.

Especially why when I know I did something when I’m manic I don’t mention that I just apologize and take accountability

Hey! I know you probably get messages like this all the time, but I just wanted to say thank you. Your videos genuinely helped me understand what I was going through and made me feel a lot less alone when I was struggling with my mental health and figuring out medications. I could honestly listen to you talk for hours 😭. You’ve actually inspired me to consider psychology for college, which is something I never would’ve thought about before. Thank you for becoming the person you are and using your platform to help people. You’ve made a bigger difference than you probably realize. 🫶🫶🫶

Omg YES!! Like my biggest argument in the movie Obsession is how people don’t have enough sympathy to understand, Bears character. I think it’s incredibly relevant because it supports his actions. It doesn’t excuse it, but supports it

I struggle with always being understanding of someone's capacity because I grew up being told to 'be the bigger person' whenever my siblings crossed my boundaries, simply because I was considered more capable. When I stopped accommodating them, the main thing that changed was that it became less convenient for them. So how do we tell the difference between someone being genuinely unable to do better and someone weaponizing incompetence? Where does understanding someone's limitations end and accountability begin?
