@jw_pressroom: According to Europe’s highest human rights court, Italy discriminated against Jehovah’s Witnesses by repeatedly denying them access to the recognition and funding that it gave to 13 other religions. Spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Italy, Alessandro Bertini, stated: “After more than 40 years, the Court has recognized that Jehovah’s Witnesses in Italy are entitled to the same fair and equal treatment as any other religion. This decision strengthens freedom of religion and equal treatment, not only for Jehovah’s Witnesses but for all people of faith in Italy.”
