Actually can’t believe I waited so long to post this on here.. presenting one of my final projects in my illustration BFA, an animated motion comic teaser trailer for my in-progress comic: The Anatomy of a Vampire. The Anatomy of a Vampire is a concept I spent my last year of college developing, to be produced as a comic series with animated shorts. It tells the story of an unlikely group of college dropouts & misfits from a small town in upstate NY, who band together to try and win "Goldmaple’s next up-and-coming band" competition, which promises to reward one lucky alt/indie group a cash prize and one-way bus tickets to NYC (+ some other stuff to help kickstart a band’s career). Unbeknownst to them, there lurks a community of vampires that threaten to not only take over the scene, but all of humankind as well. And it just so happens that their new guitarist Devon is one of these vampires. A verbal altercation leads to Devon biting and infecting his rival-turned bandmate Alex. Now, these two polar opposites must work together despite their differences as they try to navigate making their way to the top as Goldmaple’s best punk group, but also, the cult of bloodthirsty vampires coming after them.
