I completely disagree with the sentiment that to be misandrist is to be anti-feminist. I can fully have a prejudice against men due to the societal harm they cause while also acknowledging that some women do cause societal harm in similar and different ways and any woman could be capable of that same societal harm. Misandrists aren’t monoliths. Misandry at its core (in the way I practice it at least) is not about “infantilizing” women or “absolving” women of their role in upholding the patriarchy. It about acknowledging that although women do and are capable of the same atrocities men commit, men commit them on a much larger and systematic scale. Your statement regarding misandry was far too generalized but I do agree that some misandrist base their misandry around infantilizing women

Misandry isn’t the belief that men are less than equal to women, it’s a response to the systemic violence and hatred perpetrated by men and misogynists. to me, it’s less an ideology and more of a response to centuries of oppression. I think you can be or have misandrist beliefs AND be a feminist. You can be angry at your oppressors AND belief that all people/genders are equal.

I made a comment earlier about this video, commenting that you didn't provide any examples of female celebrities. this was because when I first saw the video, it looped after the first few seconds, before you actually gave any examples. I let it loop twice, because I was sure that I had missed it in the first bit, but no. rightfully, I was called out for my comment, because you DO provide examples later in the video. I don't know why tiktok did that, but I would like to apologize for my snide remarks earlier. I've never had a video loop twice back to the beginning before it's finished, but I should have been more thorough in checking before making a rude comment.

I am a bit confused about misandry being related to bioessentialism (I agree bioessentialism= awful) I don’t believe men are inherently bad, the reason I hate men is because of how they have been socialised and how that has influenced their behaviour/harmful attitudes towards women. I agree that it’s a ridiculous to imply that men are biologically wired in that way, that’s what is SO frustrating. They have every opportunity and capability for change but they just don’t want to. The fact that it is within their control, not something that is innate is where they lose my respect
