@naturallymia06: I’ve started noticing how I react in different seasons and trials in my life. Before, my first reaction would usually be to cry, overthink and/or try to fix it myself. I’d sit there stuck on “why did this happen?” and try to make sense of everything instead of actually going to God about it. But now it’s different. When things don’t go my way or doors shut in my face, I’m learning to say “not my will, but Yours be done.” And instead of spiraling, I’m starting to ask God “what are You teaching me in this?” and to even keep me in this season long enough for me to figure out what He’s trying to tell me. I still feel emotions though. I’m human! But I’m not letting my emotions lead me into trying to take control over situations anymore. I’m actually taking it all to God now (emotions included). And trusting that His way is better than mine even when I don’t understand it. And I’ve even started finding this unexplainable joy in the middle of it. Because I know He’s using whatever season it is I’m going through to build perseverance and everything else I’m gonna need for where He’s taking me next.
