@kingdesee: I don’t educational neglect is taken as seriously as it should be. Letting your child be stuck taking the same classes over and over until they have to be pushed out of school is awful. And I’m sure next year, I’ll have a few more students just like this unfortunately. #fyp #teachertok #teachersoftiktok #teachertiktok #foryou
In 2020, I had two 13 year old 5TH GRADERS. 🤷🏿 I didn't stutter. 🤷🏿

Once kids turn 20 in my district, they either gotta get a GED or take night school because the district is of a firm belief that there is 0 reason for a fully grown adult to be in classes with kids as young as 14. Just creates a breeding ground for inappropriate behaviors in either side. If you fail your freshman year, you better hope you get it together the next year because you don't get too many more tries.

I thought their age limits on being highschool and certain grades??? If you can’t complete it within the time frame, you must complete a ged. It’s the only option. Wow!

Parents need to be held responsible for kids not getting an education. If it’s neglect, jail time. If they’re on govt aid and their kids aren’t going to school, they lose it. If the parents are genuinely trying but the kids are habitual truants, court-ordered GED boot camp. But 18yo freshmen? Parents who don’t participate until their kid isn’t graduating? Kids with diplomas but they can’t read? This hurts society as a whole.

there's not much that pisses me off more than parents/family who just brush off their kids completely failing in school/life. do you not want them to succeed? do you not care if they amount to anything in life? do you not care that they will be stuck living with you forever because they won't even be able to hold down a job?!? I want my kid to succeed. I want her to be more successful than I am. I want her to worry less about money than I do. that's bare minimum shit man
