eeeeh. the beginning was either i7-940 with an 285 gtx /or 295 gtx. or if you want to go older then the amd Athlon 64 with Radeon 9800 xt.. I had an i7-920 clocked at 5.2ghz with 2 - 285 gtx in sli. it ran crysis like a champ
