Is there a stamp from the post office (not the postage stamps but the ink stamp when it goes through usps)? I would say don’t reply or send anything back. It seems odd. Your local USPS (or LEO) might be able to help decide if it’s a scam. Trust your gut. It’s weird.

It’s easy to get people address and cel phone numbers. Google him and do a little research. Maybe write or call him. I’m a nosy person so I need to know more!

For what it is worth. I’ve mailed cards and business letters to Germany 🇩🇪 and Switzerland 🇨🇭.A business letter is about $1.50. The odd size envelope is definitely unique.

Can you see where the post mark originated? Maybe for now set it aside.

It feels icky. My first thought was it’s a scam letter like artists receive through direct messages on Instagram inquiring about buying a nice piece of art for their “wife.” The stamps are just…strange. What in the world is going to fit in the envelope and not go over the set amount of postage ?? I don’t know it feels scammy like the Instagram thing, but I don’t know how he would have your address. I wouldn’t respond. But I would keep it in a safe place in case you needed to refer to it or show it to a nice officer. 🤷🏻♀️

When I was a kid way back in the 1900s we lived in Germany (my dad was in the army). They took our class to a German school, and even though we were just 5th graders, their English was pretty good. Our German was not. 😄 The different countries's stamps is strange, though.

Part of German educational curriculum is learning English. I had a family send their children to stay with us to get better at their English.

Hey - my husband is a professional wrestler and we have a PO box. He used to sign items with self address stamped envelopes until we realized the autograph people have a little community and they tell each other who sends what back and to what address they respond to. We used to get SASE's regularly (sometimes with googled 4x6 prints of him or index cards was a big one) but stopped responding after stuff showed up on ebay. They stopped sending stuff because he stopped replying. It is rare for something to come to the house but it happens and we just throw it away and we don't tell anybody about it because they don't know you live there unless you confirm that you live there. If you reply to it more will come and they will not stop.
