@wealthwithshelly: I'Il be honest... I used to say YES to every one of these. I thought I was doing the "right" things for retirement. Work hard. Stay loyal. Don't rock the boat. But the closer I got to 60... the more I realized that plan wasn't going to give me the freedom I wanted. Here's what I had to start saying NO to: 👇 1️⃣ Saying YES to "safe" but stuck. I stayed in what felt secure for years. But relying on one paycheck isn't real security. 2️⃣ Saying YES to income that doesn't grow. There's a limit when your income depends on your time. I needed something that could grow without me working more hours. 3️⃣ Saying YES to being busy all the time. I was always doing something... but not always moving forward. That was a hard truth for me. 4️⃣ Saying YES to outdated retirement advice. What worked years ago just doesn't hit the same today. I had to be open to learning something new. 5️⃣ Saying YES to consuming instead of creating. I spent a lot of time watching... not building. That shift alone changed everything for me. I'm not saying this is easy. But I am saying this... once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it. If you're still working or already retired and feel like something is missing, you're not alone.
