After her passing her friends reached out to the band to share her story and Vic was so impacted by it that he wrote bulls in the bronx as a tribute. The song title “hold on till May” is also a tribute to her, as she suffered from mental illness for many years and would try and hold out until the month of May each year to see if things would get better. The opening lyrics “she sits up high, surrounded by the sun” is a beautiful reference to her being at peace in heaven ❤️
