And actually the history of censorship in most US media kept going After the Hays code went out of use. Like when we were talking about Batman being a bad parent... last month? A couple weeks back? Time is a construct of the simulation we are set loose on... What was I... right SO All the big dramatic/tragic spectacularly controversial runs of Batman in the mid to Late 80's were done do precisely because DC got out from the censor deal that was on the us comics industry!

Maybe the most obvious consequence is that MPA ratings are the direct substitute for the Hays Code, so you can still trace American moral fixations/panics pretty accurately. Their guidelines for violence allow a lot of death and destruction even in PG movies, but a woman being toples, even in entirely non sexual circumstances, is disgustingly immortal and the children must be protected!
