🟡 Jake’s Origins Jake isn’t a normal dog — he got his magical stretchy powers in a really weird way. • In “Joshua and Margaret Investigations”, we see that while Margaret was pregnant with Jermaine, Joshua was bitten on the head by a shape-shifting creature from another dimension. • That bite magically impregnated Joshua (yep 😅) and he gave birth to Jake. • So Jake is technically the son of Joshua and that extra-dimensional creature, not Margaret. 🔒 Why They Never Told Jake The show never has Joshua or Margaret sit Jake down to explain this, but there are some clear reasons: 1. To Protect Him 🛡️ His origins are… kind of terrifying. Knowing he came from a monster bite could’ve made Jake feel cursed or unsafe. 2. To Give Him Normalcy 🌈 Joshua & Margaret loved Jake like their own. By raising him as if he were born like any other pup, they gave him a chance at a normal childhood with Finn and Jermaine. 3. Because That’s Who They Were 🐾 Joshua and Margaret were tough, adventurous parents but not always emotionally open. Instead of explaining everything, they believed in raising their kids through action, care, and protection. 🟢 Later Discovery Jake eventually learns bits and pieces of his origin — especially in episodes like “Joshua and Margaret Investigations” and “Jake the Starchild”.
