I get so pissed off when people tell me he’s a miniature doodle, when he’s just a smaller standard poodle. They’re just used to seeing giant ass doodles and assuming those are considered standard when standard just means 15 inches or taller at the shoulders.

I’m so tired of the “royal” standard poodle breeders making everyone think poodles are supposed to be huge dogs. My spoo is a medium sized dog, about 55 lbs and 21 inches at the wither like they’re supposed to be but people insist she’s a mini because she isn’t the size of a mini horse or something
