How does Wonder of U turn chasing an old man into a death sentence? JoJo has plenty of terrifying Stands, but this one makes the entire world feel like a trap. You don't need to lose a fistfight. You might never get close enough to start one. PART 8 / JOJOLION SPOILERS BELOW. Wonder of U is Toru's Stand, and its human disguise is Satoru Akefu, the hospital director. Unlike the usual invisible-to-most-people Stand situation, this disguise can be seen by ordinary people. A mysterious old man walking down a corridor might actually be the thing you should avoid following. And that is where the nightmare begins: pursuit. Trying to pursue Wonder of U or Toru can put you in the flow of calamity. You don't have to land a punch first. Even the intention to pursue can be enough. By the time you decide to close the distance, the next disaster may already be on its way. The frightening part is how ordinary everything looks. A falling object. A misplaced step. An unexpected collision. Rain. Things you would usually ignore can become devastating threats. The danger is wildly out of proportion to the action that triggered it, which makes even a tiny decision feel dangerous. You aren't simply watching an enemy prepare an attack. You're watching the environment become something you can no longer trust. Wonder of U can also project visions of itself, creating appearances in different places and showing them to selected targets.
