Is having no part or a part for curly hair like better? No one in my family has curly hair except me and my dad but he’s bald so ;-; I feel like my hair is always flat but I grew up with a middle part and that’s how I always style it

how did you grow your hair so long?? my hairs a decent length like medium long (i can show a pic if someone messages me and wants to help 😭), but i 1) feel like it doesn’t really grow past the length it is now, and 2) have this problem where the bottom/side pieces of my hair by the nape of my neck get SOOSOSOSSOSO dry and they mat up all the time no matter what i do, (such as oiling or cutting it, putting gel, braiding, etc) so i don’t know how to fix that 🫩 i’ve had that problem for like 3 years now and no hairdressers can help me either so at this point, ill take whatever tips i can get from anyone
