my theory is that metaphor IS really popular and beloved it just doesn’t get talked about nearly as much as persona because every persona has some degree of drama revolving it that makes it consistently relevant to online discussion, metaphor is such a well rounded and near perfect game that answered nearly every question about its story that there’s not much to talk about it with lol

always bamboozled me how much hate the ost got, find myself listening to traversing the wastes, wings of freedom and martira (night) just as much as some of my fav persona songs. but yk music is hella subjective so I do understand it js the disdain sounds crazy to me😭😭

I genuinely don't get the hype. Played 10 hours out of the demo and the more I play the less I like it. Can anybody give me any actual arguments as to why should I continue playing? I feel like the story is bland and predictable and the characters are the same exact archetypes Atlus has been using for Persona, plus the messaging feels artificial rather than organical, like they try so hard to send the message and feels forced

As someone who has 200 hours in it and platinumed it no it doesn’t. Metaphor did feel like a first draft with atlus getting into this sort of genre, most of the social links were forgettable and the difficulty scaling was wack. The ost while good wasn’t memorable like the persona games. It defentily can improve and when it does that’s when it will blow up like persona 1-2 to 3
