@therealdoctorrich: Tylenol and ibuprofen are NOT a real treatment plan for severe endometriosis. 🛑 Telling a woman who is curled up in the back of an ambulance that she should just try paracetamol isn't just bad medicine—it’s an insult. 🚑 Endometriosis is not a one-size-fits-all condition. There are mild cases where over-the-counter pain relief and watchful waiting work beautifully. But then there is the severe, debilitating disease that locks women in a fetal position for three weeks out of every single month. Those are two completely different patients, and they should never receive the exact same prescription. 🚫 What happens to so many women is they get triaged as if they have standard period cramps. They don’t. They have a complex disease that requires advanced pelvic imaging, a dedicated specialist, and very often, expert excisional surgery. Sending a patient home with an over-the-counter pill isn't a cure. It's a misdiagnosis with a prescription attached. We must start matching the treatment to the actual scale of the disease.
