as a gf. i’ve seen this happen and i do admit i have to done this in the past. I would NEVER invalidate or make it seem like my bf is the problem if I did something wrong. if i feel it’s a miscommunication issue, that’s different. I’ve learned to listen and let him say what’s hurting him or upsetting him, communicate it, reflect on it, and learn from it.

We are all human and I think all of us have done this by accident. I have don’t it to my current boyfriend and mainly I think it’s caused because I get caught off guard and instantly get defensive. We have learned that both of us respond better when given adequate time to process and to prepare for the conversation. It can be difficult to do that, but every relationship just requires communication. Make a mistake learn from it.

I used to be that way and didn’t even know it, till I met someone who brought every good part in me out and called me out when I did things that hurt him. Sometimes you gotta take a step back and remember it isn’t them saying they don’t love you and you’re the worst person ever. I’m glad I have my bf, without him I’d be the same way

as a girlfriend, we have gotten into so many arguments about each others behavior and truth is people change. we’ve only been dating for 8 months and we’ve already seen changes in each other. doesn’t mean we don’t love each other anymore just means the way we have to deal with the behavior has to change and we can either accept it and grow from it and get better or give up and break up.
