Wheel Burnout Effect 🔥
Comment “create” and I’ll send you the full video + project files! 🚀 Step by step: 1. Create a new comp with your clip. 2. Apply Mocha AE to the layer. 3. Draw a circular mask around the rim or entire wheel. 4. Enable Perspective and track forward + backward. 5. Once happy, save the track and close Mocha. 6. In the Mocha effect, go to Matte > Create AE Masks. 7. Name the layer “inside.” 8. Duplicate the clip and name it “outside.” 9. Press M and invert the mask on the “outside” layer. 10. On the inside clip, move the anchor point to the wheel center. 11. Add a Rotation keyframe where the burnout starts. 12. Smooth keyframes using the Speed Graph. 13. Enable Motion Blur on the layer and in the comp. 14. Add Scale keyframes:
 • Start + End = 100
 • Middle = scale in slightly to hide black edges 15. On the outside clip, apply 3D Camera Tracker. 16. Create a solid at the wheel position. 17. Drag in the burnout overlay clip. 18. Make it a 3D Layer. 19. Copy the Position + Orientation from the solid. 20. Turn off the solid layer. 21. Adjust overlay position + scale to match the rim. 22. Make sure the timing of the overlay fits the burnout. 23. Select all layers and Pre-compose them. 24. Right-click → Time > Enable Time Remapping. 25. Add keyframes at start + end of the animation. 26. Drag keyframes closer to speed it up, then smooth via Speed Graph. 27. Add Force Motion Blur to enhance motion blur. Et voilà! 🛞🔥 #keanuvisuals #editingtutorial #aftereffects #burnouteffect #vfxbreakdown #filmmaking #motiondesign #caredit #carvisuals #tutorial
