BL chose to apply Federal Rule 54 to this claim which only applies to attorneys fees. So Wayfarer will pay attorneys fees for filing the defamation suit only, nothing else. And the fees will go to the lawyers. BL was NOT awarded any monetary damages. Judge Liman said “Fee shifting is not civil liability. Being charged with the costs of a suit is not the same thing as being civilly liable for it. Fee shifting simply requires the party that creates the costs to bear them."
