how about using cottage cheese instead of cream cheese? think it would work

Jalapeño Popper Chicken Casserole
Recipe By: Hannah Cooks Healthy-ish
Ingredients:
3 jalapeño peppers, diced, seeds & veins removed
1 medium white onion, diced
1 lb cooked chicken, shredded
4 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt
1 cup shredded cheese
1 tsp each - garlic powder, onion powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325* F.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tbsp of avocado oil and sauté onions & jalapeños until softened.
3. Remove from heat, allow to cool for 3-5 minutes and add in cream cheese, Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup of pepperjack cheese and stir to combine.
4. In a casserole dish, combine chicken and onion/jalapeno mixture. Add seasonings and stir. Top with remaining cheese.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
6. Enjoy!
Suggested sides - roasted Brussel sprouts, baked sweet potato or steamed broccoli
