The Day of Ashura is expected to fall on Thursday 25 June 2026, with the recommended fasting days around it being the 9th and 10th, or the 10th and 11th of Muharram. The White Days are the 13th, 14th and 15th of Muharram, expected to be Sunday 28, Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 June 2026. Dates can vary slightly depending on local moon sighting. The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting on Ashura and said it expiates the sins of the previous year.
