After being surrendered by his owner and landing on the euthanasia list at Downey Shelter, he was rescued just in time and is now searching for a foster or forever home. Rocko absolutely loves people and believes personal space is optional. At 61 pounds, he’s a self-proclaimed lap dog who lives for cuddles, kisses, and quality time with his humans. Though mostly blind and a little hard of hearing, Rocko embraces life with enthusiasm. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, backyard patrols, toys, bones, and being included in everyday activities. He’s house-trained, healthy, and thriving in training—learning leash manners, responding well to guidance, and eager to please. Rocko would do best as the only dog in the home, but he more than makes up for it with his huge personality, loyalty, and endless affection.
