It’s the national flower of El Salvador! I grew up eating it with eggs and beans for breakfast. Have you heard of loroco? You would love it. It’s an unopened flower bud we use in pupusas or brine it. It’s delicious. Almost like broccoli meets squash.

Yucca fries (made from the roots for those unfamiliar) are soooooo good 🤤 they’re also super filling, more so than potato fries in my opinion.

Izote flowers are a delicious! We eat them with eggs, fried beans and hot cup of coffee for breakfast in Honduras too and it’s heaven. Love your content! Thank you for teaching us nature is amazing, you’re awesome!!!!
