@katrinasabourin: Today I finally got some answers. For years I've known something didn't feel quite right with Theo. He's always been a mouth breather. I've spoken to doctors. I've spoken to dentists. I've spoken to ENT. But I kept feeling like I was being told to wait, watch and hope he'd grow out of it. Today I had an appointment with Dr Steffen Decker @theorthodonticspecialist and everything started to make sense. I walked out feeling relieved, but also frustrated that I knew so little about mouth breathing, how it can affect facial development, sleep, oral posture, behaviour, oxygen reduction and so much more This is a whole world I never knew existed. And honestly, I can't stop thinking about how many parents might be in exactly the same position I was. I'm not an expert. I'm just a mum sharing our journey and what we're learning along the way.
