as a someone who had spent a year in a situationship, i would like to say situationship serves you intermittent reinforcement. that’s why your reward system always seek and attach to it, literally the inconsistency is intoxicating. most people stay because there’s no clear closure and remind your brain it’s still unfinished, that’s why it’s frustrating. and when you stay in a situationship that have already triggers your whole body and nervous system, means you just investing emotional fatigue and u would spending ur time excruciate yourself along the moment you stick with it.
