@itvnews: An Iranian fan at the Iran v New Zealand World Cup match was told by staff he must put down his flag, or face a fine. FIFA have banned the Lion and Sun flag, that was the flag of Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, for being political in nature. The hundreds of fans inside the stadium, defiantly flying the flag, say that the flag of the current regime, which FIFA show, is just as political. #football #worldcup #iran #usa
