It is the layer that runs underneath all the moves, all the exploration, all the musicality. If your bounce is built stylistically, to the extent that it's second nature, your style will bleed into everything you do without you having to try. Many of the styles we do today were built in clubs. In clubs 95% of what you do is bounce & two-step. People don't use threading, floorwork, and tricks to show their style in a club - they use these basics and add their flavour to it.
