To be loved for who I am, not for what I can do.
I think thatโs one of the quietest yet deepest desires a person can have. To be loved not because youโre successful, useful, strong, or always available. Not because of what you can give, fix, or sacrifice. Just loved for being you. Because sometimes, we get so used to proving our worth that we forget love was never meant to be something we earn through exhaustion.
Maybe thatโs why so many of us are tired. Weโre afraid that if we stop achieving, stop helping, or stop being everything everyone needs, people will leave. But real love doesnโt disappear when youโre at your lowest. It doesnโt ask you to perform or pretend. It stays. It understands. It reminds you that your value was never tied to your productivity or the things you can offer.
And I hope one day, all of us get to experience that kind of love. The kind that sees our messy, ordinary, imperfect selves and chooses us anyway. Because at the end of the day, perhaps the greatest blessing isnโt being admired for what we do, but being cherished for who we are.
