My family moved to Spain when I was 11 and I came home for summers, saying goodbye to my nanny every year stung. I moved home in 2018 with a Tipperary man I met in Spain and I could never leave again. I spent yesterday on the beach swimming with my nanny like I did for all those summers as a child. There’s always time, travel and live your life home is always here waiting for you ☘️

Left Australia 4 weeks ago because the sting was far too hard for me 😭 I just couldn't cope!! Missed my family far too much.. I'm so happy to be home but I know it's not the same for everybody, everyone is different ❤️

I’m afraid this will be me in Dublin Airport on Wednesday morning. Leaving Ireland until November… I will miss my family so much. But, if leaving doesn’t hurt, you don’t really love each other.

As the eldest daughter who did this 10+ years ago, and didn’t satisfy it entirely before falling pregnant and then staying home (no regrets there) I just wanna say try to enjoy the experience of travel and know that you’ll be back someday. I wish I could relive the adventures and not feel the guilt x
