Didn't ask ANYONE I know lol so not sure where you're getting your figures from. If you could publish this survey including the demographic of the people surveyed I would be more than happy to apologise if I'm wrong....I'll wait.......

As a parent of 4 teens who all struggle to put phones down for more than 10 minutes… it’s a great step forward, BUT…. It needs to be a three way approach… social media ban, phone providers/manufacturers tighten access to apps, and parents taking responsibility for their kids online access!

Fun fact but parents can already install controls and monitor their kids phones and socjal media it takes conversation too. I assume Roblox, PlayStation and other gaming networking protocols will cease? What about Twitch etc and standard text messaging and calls plus all other means of communication are being blocked? Also the 9/10 parents who stress the supporting of this ban did you all vote or something? Or did Daddy Kier just decide it for the nation? I appreciate the reason as to why this was campaign - children were experiencing bullying but treating every child like a potential bully doesn’t sit well as a civic code of conduct or responsibility of the nation. Imagine being able to join the army and not check your WhatsApp 😳

So in the name of child safety, why not hold parents to account ? Instead all adults will lose their privacy

This has zero to do with kids and everything to do with this:
September 2025, the government announced a new digital ID scheme designed to streamline public services and assist with "right to work" checks.
Public Backlash: This proposal met immediate resistance, resulting in a parliamentary petition that gathered nearly 3 million signatures, making it one of the largest in UK history.
