I'd recommend bringing tampons, especially if you're very picky about applicator/non applicator and specific brands.

Did you have any problems setting up WeChat pay?? I went to China a couple of times before Covid and couldn’t set it up due to local bank requirements. Would love to go back soon

I would disagree and say to bring deodorant as it can be difficult to buy in China

I just came back from a month in China and took trains everywhere with aerosol hairspray and sunscreen without issue. I think you’re allowed but they have to be under a certain limit (100-200 mls)ish.

I would also recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer if you use it. We took those small purse sized ones but ran out. Couldn't find a single supermarket or pharmacy that sold it. Had to buy it on Meituan app and even then we were lucky to find it. 😳

How about a backup phone? Considering the reliance on phones, i feel that might be a good move just in case your phone gets stolen or breaks
