I could be wrong but………if the top three get knocked out due to people’s 2nd,3rd choice etc, and you hit 4th tier, and most people that don’t like her voted for her at 4th because they don’t want her, she now has the most votes at that tier than other candidate’s and wins. Correct me if I’m wrong. (I always just put same name all the way across)

If enough of the voters who ranked King first ranked her 2nd, she'll move ahead of Jackson in a second round, then if enough who ranked Jackson 1st ranked her second (or third after King) she'll move ahead of Pingree in a third round, and then if enough who ranked Pingree first ranked her above Shah, she win over Shah.
