The thing is. The movie just took pyramid head out of context and made him something he isn’t. Pyramid head is a punishment for someone specific. Alessa has nothing to do with him.

Having played Silent Hill 2, there is absolutely no reason for Pyramid Head to be in this movie. He’s a manifestation of James’ guilt and has nothing to do with Alyssa

Pyramid Head has always been a physical manifestation of the main character's guilt. He is seen as a punisher because usually the character believes they deserve to be punished. In the games the only way to beat him is to let go of that guilt and to stop punishing yourself. Same for the monsters, they are physical manifestations of the main character's sins or thoughts.

The people who made the first movie didn’t play any of the games they just knew pyramid head was popular // pyramid head is exclusive to James Sutherland experience bc that is HIS MONSTER a personification of his guilt and everything he hates about himself. If James is not there neither should pyramid head 🤷
