@better.from.scratch: 9,521 five-star reviews and it's still the easiest peach cobbler you'll ever make from scratch. This one's my mom's, and it comes together in about 5 minutes with fresh, frozen, or canned peaches. 5 peaches, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups) 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt Batter 6 Tablespoons butter 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup milk ground cinnamon Instructions Add sliced peaches, sugar, and salt to a saucepan and cook over medium heat a few minutes, just until the sugar dissolves and the peaches release their juice. Set aside. (Using canned peaches? Skip this step and use 1 quart jar, undrained.) Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice butter into a 9x13 inch baking dish and place in the oven while it preheats to melt. Remove once melted. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk just until combined. Pour over the melted butter and smooth into an even layer. Spoon the peaches and juice over the batter. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Bake at 350°F for 38 to 40 minutes. The batter rises up as it bakes for that signature cobbler crust. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers covered in the fridge 4 to 5 days. Search "Tastes Better From Scratch Peach Cobbler" on Google to find it. Yum! I love peach cobbler too. I wish I was going somewhere so I could bring this dessert. If I bake it & stay home I’ll just eat it all & I can’t afford to do that. Darn it!

If I use canned peaches from the store, what size can do I buy? Also, if I use frozen, do I put them in a sauce pan and cook?
