🚀 Static Routing Lab in Cisco Packet Tracer In today's project, I configured Static Routing to enable communication between two different networks. 🔧 Devices Used: ✅ 2 Routers ✅ 2 Cisco 2960 Switches ✅ 4 PCs (2 PCs per network) ⚙️ Configurations Performed: 📌 Assigned IP addresses to router interfaces 📌 Configured IP addresses and default gateways on PCs 📌 Connected the routers using a point-to-point link 📌 Configured static routes on both routers 📌 Verified routing tables 📌 Tested end-to-end connectivity using ping 📚 What We Learned: Routers only know about directly connected networks by default. To communicate with remote networks, they need routing information. Static Routing allows network administrators to manually define the path that packets should take to reach another network. 🔹 Router 1 learned how to reach Network B 🔹 Router 2 learned how to reach Network A 🔹 Traffic was successfully forwarded between both networks ✅ PCs in different networks communicated successfully. ✅ Routers forwarded packets using manually configured routes. ✅ End-to-end connectivity was achieved. Static Routing is one of the fundamental routing concepts every networking student should understand before moving on to dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and EIGRP.
