It’s interesting that a space created to center Black women bothers you so much. If you had actually read the information, you would’ve seen that everyone is welcome. This was simply a day dedicated to Black women a group that doesn’t always have spaces intentionally created for them. Why is that a problem? Nobody is stopping you from attending countless other yoga classes. This was about creating a safe, supportive environment for Black women, and somehow that offended you enough to make a video about it. Black women deserve spaces where we can relax, heal, and connect without having to justify our existence. The real question is: why does that make you so uncomfortable?

this was a disappointing reaction from you. if you can't understand why black women need spaces like in this in this system that murders, disparages, and disenfranchises us than you are intentionally blinding yourself to the reality of our deeply racist and antiblack society. being Jewish teaches us a lot about what it means to be different and to be targeted - we have also forged these spaces for our own vitality, sanity, and safety...bfr 🤷🏾♀️

Her post is without context. As someone who knows her and have gone to this space this specific class was for Black women. If you look on her page and other classes it’s opened to others too. This specific class was a class called Dear Black woman. This is a class that was needed for Black women for the same reason of the harm that you all are causing. Yes it’s 2026 and sadly we still experience racism, can you image? We still experience toxic and harmful work environments by people who don’t look like us. As a Black woman, A Black mother this class/ space was needed.

light skinned black woman here... I'm black, we are no different from dark skinned black women. mixed women would obviously be allowed in as well because they face anti blackness and obviously they're half black. I truly will never understand why ppl get so angry when we create a space for us to connect with each other and a space where we are safe away from racism and weird behavior. it's the same as queer ppl making a space for themselves, this is ridiculous truly.

That particular event is for black women, not all of them. And she says that in the caption. If you’d take the time to understand how many of us have experienced this same thing in this country but instead of them just saying we weren’t welcomed they let us in and mistreated us. In 2026 your president tried to erase our history by banning books and closing museums and the government continues to pass racist legislation in 2026. Imagine our votes no longer counting in most southern states. We want community without wondering if it’s riddled with racism and that is our why!
