When I wasn't working, I did everything at home including cleaning, his laundry, cooking, his snacks for the office, dinner etc. When I got a job and he had a day off, he still expected me to do everything, I asked him to just make coffee at least, he told me "I'm not a maid". I left him.

my husband has only worked about a full 4 years throughout our 16 year relationship.. and that was multiple jobs. longest job he ever held was approximately 2 years, which right before he lost that job I found out he had been talking with his ex behind my back for at least that whole 2 years (telling her he loved her and that she was his happy place).. maybe more. over those 2 years I had gotten pregnant with our oldest son (we now have 3 sons) and we had gotten married. I never clocked the red flags as I was young and dumb and thought I knew better, but then realized I had made my bed so I should suffer and lie in it. I.e reg flags.. telling me who I shouldn't talk to because it made him uncomfortable.. isolating me from family and friends.. controlling my wardrobe and was no longer able to do my hair or makeup.. name calling me and making little "jokes" about my appearance.. there's so much more.. over the last year I have really woken up to how abusive it is but I am struggling to find the strength to get out..
