I think every mom needs fulfillment outside of their kids. It’s not fair to children to put all of that pressure on them.

Selfishly there’s no way I’m giving up my 6 figure job when we are able to do so much with mine and my husbands salary as a family. 😭 I feel like a feel that way though because the baby will be with family. I may feel differently if she wasn’t going to be watched by family while we work.

I don’t necessarily want to go back to work, but my income goes to all of our fun activities and I can grow his college fund and even more! So I look at it that if I’m working, I will never have to say no❤️

I want to stay home with my baby but I need dental work that is not cosmetic which my husband can’t afford on one income with a mortgage, so I’m going back to work for that

I don’t have to work but I choose to work. I like having that part of my identity to me. I like the social aspect of it. The extra income only benefits my family in the long run (we’ve been able to buy a house for our son and rent it out until he’s old enough to move out). I like the divide between work and being a mom. I’m not overstimulated and every minute with my son is purposeful and meaningful. I don’t waste it. I feel like I have the best of both worlds.
